What to Watch — Next 24 Hours
US Sep nonfarm payrolls — tonight 22:30 AEST (8:30am ET). Consensus +90K, unemployment 4.1%, wages +0.3%. >100K re-arms the Oct/Dec hike trade and lifts the USD; <50K kills the October hike and steepens the front end.
Iran / oil. Brent's $100 handle is the barometer. A blockade-lifting or sanctioned-crude-release headline is a peace-premium trigger; any strike resumption is a gap-risk trigger. Watch whether the ~$10 Brent–WTI spread widens further.
OPEC+ weekend meeting — November quotas expected unchanged; any surprise adds a Monday oil gap.
Accenture follow-through. If the IT-services bid holds, it further deflates the AI-disruption derating narrative — a positive for the spender/beneficiary side of the book.
ASX 200 open — Monday 10:00am AEST. Does the Friday +0.79% rebound follow through, or does the global bond/AI-bubble caution from the RBA FSR cap it? Banks/miners remain the rotation buffer.
